Tired Everton Star Tim Cahill Relishing 2010 World Cup
A 60-game season will be worth it when representing Australia at the World Cup, claims Tim Cahill.
A 60-game season is on the horizon for Everton and Australia star Tim Cahill, who will be aiding the Toffees' cause on four fronts next campaign as David Moyes plans an assault on the inaugural edition of the Europa League together with domestic duty - and then helping the Socceroos, who aim to make as big a splash in the World Cup finals as they did in the qualifiers.
Cahill could have competed in as many games in the past year, had it not been for a broken foot that kept him sidelined for the season's genesis, but he revealed that playing for both club and country is tiring him out.
"Four (or) five more years of this and then I can hang my boots up and I can chill," the 29-year-old, widely credited as being one of the strongest headers of the ball in the Premier League, is quoted by Sport as saying.
"But to play in another World Cup, if I had to play 60 games this coming season, I'll do it."
Australia were one of the first countries to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa aside from the host nation.
