Goal.com’s Tim Sturtridge reports on Romario hitting the back of the net, South Korea plotting victory against Argentina and Uruguay’s Diego Forlan knocking out Liverpool.

World Cup winner Romario proved he still knows where the back of the net is as he scored four goals last night in a charity match staged to raise funds for Haiti.
The match between 'Friends of Zico' and 'Friends of Falcao' took place at Avai’s Estadio de la Ressacada on the island of Florianopolis. In the end it was Zico’s team that ran out 8-4 winners with half of their goals coming from Romario.
As well as Zico, Falcao and Romario lacing up their boots former World Cup winning captain Cafu also turned out on the pitch where he learnt his trade as a youngster.
There was also a notable display from three time French Open winner and Avai fanatic Gustavo Kuerten. Having enjoyed success on clay during his tennis career the Brazilian ace quipped that the pitch at Ressacada was not his best surface.
“I’ve never been much good on grass but I’m training hard and seem to be moving in the right direction.”
There was a party after the game with live bands as people were asked to donate what they could to help the people of Haiti recover from the earthquake which struck the country in January.
South Korea Looking To Hit The heights Against Argentina
South Korea’s head coach Huh Jung-moo does not want to take any chances ahead of his country’s Group B clash with Argentina and has made a request for oxygen masks to be made available to his players.
South Korea will take on Argentina in Johannesburg on June 17 at an altitude of 1,700 meters above sea level. Huh Jung-moo is worried that with the games with Greece and Nigeria either side of the Argentina game taking place on the coast, the jump in altitude could have a negative effect on his players.
The measure Huh Jung-moo seems to favor is to get the South Korean Football Association to supply his team with oxygen masks to aid them in their match against Argentina. A spokesman for the South Korean national team said that as well as masks they are looking at other options to give themselves the edge in the game with Argentina.
“We are studying all the options open to us. It is not just masks we are looking at but also special tents with less oxygen in which the players can train.”
News of South Korea’s plan to use oxygen masks has not been lost on the Argentines themselves with the nation’s 6-1 defeat to Bolivia in La Paz still fresh in many people’s minds.
Anfield, This Is Forlan
Already established as one of Atletico Madrid’s all-time greats Uruguayan Diego Forlan carved his name even deeper into the hearts of the club’s fans with his goal against Liverpool at Anfield last night.
The striker looked in fine form ahead of the World Cup as he netted an extra time goal to put Atletico through to the final of the Europa League.
The Uruguayan hitman will now be looking to leave his mark when Atletico take on Fulham in the final due to played in Hamburg on May 12. If Forlan and the Spanish outfit are successful it will be their first continental title since winning the Cup Winners Cup in 1986.
