Edmilson Hits Out At Barcelona-Bound Keirrison

The former Villarreal man has launched an attack on the Barcelona-bound player.

Keirrison, Palmeiras
Keirrison appears all set to sign for Barcelona and should arrive at Camp Nou on July 13 to complete his switch.

The 20-year-old, who is currently training alone to avoid picking up any injuries, has been the subject of criticism from Palmeiras ever since learning of the interest from Barcelona.

The club's former coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo had already criticized Keirrison's unprofessional attitude, even removing him from his team plans, and Edmilson has now hit out at the youngster.

"Whenever I moved from one place to another, I would enter and leave through the big door," he told GLOBOESPORTE. "I do not know where he is. But I would come here to say goodbye to the sound staff, the pitch staff, everyone.

"That is, at least, my way. I do not know what happened for him not to come, but he should thank the friends that helped him be successful and leave the country."

Edmilson, who has already represented Barcelona, has sent Keirrison a warning: "It's no use to just take there what he was doing here, or he will hit and return.

"You have to adapt to football, have speed, protect the ball and handle the defender. In the last games he did not the show the same level of when he arrived at Palmeiras.

"But he is a player with potential to have success."
