The Viola continue to their activity as they gear up for Champions League football next season, having just secured Comotto from the Granata.

The full-back was close to joining Fiorentina in January, but back then the move collapsed for a number of reasons, including the fact that Turin club did not want to lose their influential defender as they were battling against relegation.

However, this time, the player refused other important offers - including one from Palermo - in order to join coach Cesare Prandelli and be part of the Gigliatis' project.

The clubs have agreed for a transfer fee of €4.5 million and the player will a three-year-deal with the Viola, hoping to help the club's cause in their Serie A and Champions League aspirations.
