The German giants were willing to offer a maximum of €16 million per season to the Chile star, but he already earns €20m at the Emirates Stadium.

The young striker signed a new deal last year which sees him bag incremental increases to his wages throughout its four-year term.

Alexis Sanchez's agent is in talks with Bayern Munich after the German champions agreed to meet both the player and Arsenal's financial demands, according El Mercurio .

Bayern are prepared to pay $65 million (£50m) to sign the Chilean and hand him a $14.5m-a-year (£11.2m) contract but Manchester City also remain interested.


CONTE FIGHTING TO KEEP COSTA

It has been widely assumed that the FA Cup final will be the Spaniard's final game for the Blues amid rumours of interest from Atletico Madrid and a lucrative offer from China but the Italian is said to see Costa as irreplaceable.


CHELSEA KEEN ON LANZINI

Chelsea are targeting West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini as a potential replacement for Cesc Fabregas, according to the Sun .

The Spaniard has been linked with AC Milan and Blues technical director Michael Emenalo is said to see Lanzini as a perfect successor, with the report claiming he believes the Argentine can be as good as Luka Modric.


BARKLEY SET TO LEAVE EVERTON

Arsenal have shown interest in Smalling in the past, with Arsene Wenger said to be an admirer.

Arsenal are preparing a move for Real Madrid right-back Danilo, according to a report from Don Balon

Paris Saint-Germain are also considered to be in the race for the Brazilian, though the Gunners will attempt to push through a deal ahead of the potential summer exit of Hector Bellerin, who is on Barcelona's radar.

Danilo is thought to be open to a move away from the Spanish capital, having played the majority of the season behind Dani Carvajal under Real boss Zinedine Zidane.

The Blancos boss has been unimpressed with Casemiro's performances in recent weeks and sees Kante as an upgrade in central midfield.

Zidane has already spoken to president Florentino Perez regarding making a bid for France international Kante.
