thumbnail Hello,

Hull makes shock move for Newcastle outcast Ben Arfa

The France international has not featured for the Magpies this season and rejected a move to Besiktas last week but he now appears to be on the move, with Steve Bruce making a bid.

Hull City are set to seal a shock transfer deadline day swoop for Newcastle's Hatem Ben Arfa.

The 27-year-old has just a year left on his deal at St James' Park - but has been told that he has no future at the club by boss Alan Pardew.

Pardew has refused to use Ben Arfa since the end of last season, but the player has insisted that he does not want to leave.

He shunned an approach from Turkish giant Besiktas last week - as revealed by Goal -  but now looks to be on the move, with Steve Bruce, who has already swooped for Mohamed Diame and Abel Hernandez on transfer deadline day, making a bid to land the former Marseille playmaker.

Goal understands Hull has agreed terms with Newcastle and the player is now due for a medical.
