The Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian capital this summer, with Barcelona, Manchester United and the French champions interested in his services.
PSG moved ahead of the Catalans in the race for the 19-year-old's services on Thursday and he has now hinted that a move to France is near.
"Thanks to all of you, the fans, the club, my teammates. Go Roma, go forever and always," he wrote on Twitter.
"I will never forget what I've experienced at Roma. It was a joy for me and I will always carry you in my heart."
Marquinhos made the move to Serie A from Corinthians last summer and impressed during his sole season in Italy.
