The Bosnia and Herzegovina international has ruled out a summer move away from the Italian capital and says he wants to sign a new deal with the club.Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has insisted that he has no intention of leaving the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham in recent days; however, he is hoping to stay in the Italian capital and has hinted at a new deal with the Giallorossi.
"I don't want to leave. Everyone at the club knows that," Pjanic told Roma's official website. "I've always wanted to stay here. I want to give everything to start the season well.
"I don't know about the financial situation at the club. A new contract? It doesn't happen overnight. We're talking about it.
"The desire is there and we'll see what happens in the future."
Pjanic went on to say that he would accept any decisions of new coach Rudi Garcia were he to not include him in the first team, with several midfielders vying for a starting place.
"There are a number of us in that position and whoever's on form will be in the team," Pjanic said. "The coach will find the right system. We need to do what we can to let the new signings settle. There are some great players who can help us to achieve success. Then it'll be up to the coach to decide who to pick."
