Garrido completes permanent Norwich move

The 28-year-old has established himself in the Canaries starting lineup this season and has penned a two-year contract to turn his loan switch from Lazio into a permanent deal

Norwich City has confirmed the signing of Javier Garrido on a permanent deal following the fullback's season-long loan from Lazio.

The 28-year-old Spanish defender, who arrived at Carrow Road from the Serie A club last August, has signed a two-year contract with Chris Hughton's side.

“I’m so happy to have signed full-time for Norwich City," Garrido told the club's official website. “I am very comfortable with everything here - with the players, the technical staff and of course the fans. I am just very happy that we have managed to remain in the Premier League where we belong.

“Now I want to do everything I can to help Norwich continue to be successful in the Premier League. For me personally I am delighted to have secured my future playing in English football with Norwich City.”

The ex-Manchester City man has established himself as a regular in the Canaries starting lineup this season, with two assists in his 33 appearances in the Premier League so far.
