The Croatian champion announced on Wednesday that the midfielder would leave the club for the Nerazzurri after both sides had reached an agreement over a fee believed to be in the region of 11 million euros and could rise to 15 million. The 18-year-old is expected to ink a long-term contract with Inter in the upcoming hours.
Kovacic visited the Policlinico San Matteo di Pavia on Thursday for his medical, and the physical examination did not bring any noteworthy issues to the fore.
"Joining Inter is like a dream come true. I do not know how to explain it. I can only say that it is an incredible feeling and that I will do my utmost for the club," Kovacic told Inter Channel.
