Cavani's agent hints at summer exit

Mino Raiola has suggested that the striker could leave the Stadio San Paolo at the end of the season to join one of five clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City

Edison Cavani’s agent Mino Raiola has hinted that the Napoli forward will leave Italy in the summer.

The Uruguayan’s future has been subject of speculation for some time, with interest from teams such as Chelsea and Manchester City being reported ahead of the January transfer window.

Raiola, however, has said that he fully expects Cavani to move from Naples at the end of the season, and claimed that one of five teams have the funds to afford the striker.

"For now Cavani will stay, but I wouldn’t be so sure about that once June arrives," the agent told Il Mattino.

"I’m sure there are clubs ready to pay that [63 million euro buy-out clause] in the summer, but only five clubs in the world can afford to do that - Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain.

"You are intelligent enough on your own to understand where Cavani will play his football next season."

The Serie A side revealed after Christmas that it had rejected a bid of 55 million euros for the Uruguay international.
