thumbnail Hello,

The striker's parent had claimed that his son is eyeing a move to Real Madrid this summer, but his current employers have ridiculed the suggestions

Atletico Madrid chairman Enrique Cerezo has laughed off Radamel Falcao's father's comments regarding his son's future, reminding potential suitors that the striker's contract runs for another four years.

The Colombian has been in fine form in recent weeks, netting back-to-back hat-tricks in his side's recent wins over Athletic Bilbao and Chelsea.

The 26-year old's father subsequently claimed his son was keen to make a move to city-rivals Real Madrid, while Goal.com revealed that Manchester City was preparing a 60 million euro bid for the South American.

"I don't consider it important if a player does not confirm his intention of leaving," the Vicente Calderon supremo is quoted as saying by AS.

"A father can talk about his sons, of course, but Falcao has already explained he is very happy here and he still has four years remaining on his contract."

"We are in a great moment now, very happy. We have to keep calm: Falcao is not leaving."

Atletico Madrid will return to domestic duty when it welcomes Rayo Vallecano on Sept. 16.
