Leonardo: Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer dealings are finished for the summer

The Brazilian sporting director of the Parisian club insists that although there is a small possibility of signing a right back, any activity is very unlikely before Sept. 4

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has claimed that the club’s transfer dealings this summer are over.

Thiago Silva, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Lucas Moura are among the illustrious new names that have been added to the Parisian side’s squad list as the Sept. 4 deadline day approaches.

At the presentation of ex-AC Milan defensive stalwart Thiago Silva to the public, Leonardo revealed that any further moves from the star-studded club were unlikely.

“This will be the last presentation of a player this season,” the Brazilian told reporters on Friday. “[Our dealings] are over."

However, the club have been linked to a host of right backs in the last two weeks, including Juventus’ Stephan Lichtsteiner and Lille’s Mathieu Debuchy, and Leonardo refused to rule out the slim possibility of a late signing.

“Normally, the transfer window is over,” the former Inter boss added. “It is true that [Milan] Bisevac has gone to Lyon.

“We have ten days and we will see if we can get a right-back. But in normal circumstances, our business is over”
