The Rossoneri are keen to lure the Frenchman to San Siro this summer, and they have now revealed that a bid has been tabled for the defender.
The Rossoneri are in the market for defensive reinforcements due to the departure of Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer, as well as the exit of veteran Alessandro Nesta, and they have made the signing of the 23-year-old Yanga-Mbiwa a top priority.
"We have made an offer and we'll travel to Montpellier shortly. We'll see what happens. It's a matter of money," Galliani stated to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Yanga-Mbiwa has a contract with Montpellier until the summer of 2013, but Milan hopes that an offer in the region of 7 million euros will be enough to lure the defender away from the Ligue 1 champion.
It is understood that the Serie A giant has already agreed terms with the center back over a five-year deal worth 1.5m euros per season.
