PSG prepares 50 million euro offer for Thiago Silva

The Ligue 1 side is willing to pay over 40 million euros up front for the Brazilian defender, who has been offered a monthly salary of close to one million euros.

Thiago Silva could be set for a sensational AC Milan exit with Paris Saint-Germain willing to pay an initial transfer fee of 42 million euros for the center back, and potentially rising to 50 milliion euros depending on performance-related bonuses, Goal.com has learned.

Milan has been adamant that it wants to hold on to the Brazilian defender, but admitted that it could be tempted to cash in on him if a big-money offer comes in.

PSG director Leonardo confirmed on Monday that the Ligue 1 runners-up have opened talks with the Thiago Silva, and the Parisians are willing to push their financial limits in order to lure the 27-year-old away from the Rossoneri.

In addition to the offer worth 50 milliion euros, PSG is ready to shelve out almost one milliion euros per month in salary to convince the 27-year-old to join the French powerhouse.

Contrary to previous reports, however, the transfer is by no means a done deal as talks have yet to reach the closing stages.

Milan has lined up Vasco da Gama's Dede, Torino's Angelo Ogbonna and Chievo's Pietro Acerbi as potential replacements should Thiago Silva indeed leave the Rossoneri this summer.
