Monterrey president Luis Miguel Salvador admitted that goalkeeper Jonathan Orozco has been told he's on the French team's radar; he would replace Memo Ochoa who is set to leave.
Monterrey president Luis Miguel Salvador admitted to ESPN Deportes that Jonathan Orozco, the team's current starter, has been contacted about the possibility of emigrating to Europe.
"I'm surprised by this. We've yet to have any formal contact with the club itself, but Jonathan has talked to us about it," Salvador told the website.
Meanwhile, Ajaccio president Alain Orsoni confirmed the interest, but only if Ochoa is transferred out of the team over the coming summer break.
"Yes, Jonathan Orozco is a goalkeeper that interests us," Orsoni told Raza Deportiva.
The Ajaccio president went on to mention that Ochoa's performance in the recently concluded season has titillated a few teams in the upper half of the Ligue 1 table, as well as La Liga suitors.
Orsoni went on to praise his goalkeeper, saying that Memo "is worth five or six million euros at this point." Ochoa joined Ajaccio last summer after a seven-year stint with Mexican giants CF America.
