Anzhi reportedly set for 300 million euros spending spree

The mega-rich Russian outfit are preparing for another busy summer in the transfer market, with the aim of establishing themselves as a top European club
Anzhi Makhachkala are preparing a staggering 300 million euros summer war chest to bring Champions League football to Dagestan within three years.

Sports Illustrated claims the task of attracting top talent to the mega rich club will be handed to team director and former captain Roberto Carlos.

The report comes amid speculation linking Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres to the Russian club.

Anzhi have seen their popularity rise rapidly since being acquired in 2011 by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov, who has funded the big-money acquisition of a raft of star players.

Guus Hiddink's side is currently seventh in the Russian Premier League standings, six points adrift of the final Champions League qualification spot.
