AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel is considering the possibility of extending his stay with the Rossoneri, his agent Mino Raiola his declared.
The 34-year-old's future in San Siro has been cast into doubt as his contract with the club expires at the end of the season.
Milan has already indicated that it will only handle contract renewals in the summer, and Van Bommel's agent has given a strong indication that his client's priority is to remain with the Serie A leaders.
"If Milan offer him a new deal, and that seems to be the case, Mark could stay in Italy," Raiola told Eindhovens Dagblad. "But if an agreement is not reached, Mark will announce his intention to return to Netherlands, where PSV will be his first choice, regardless of whether they compete in the Champions League."
Van Bommel, who joined Milan in January 2011 after terminating his contract with Bayern Munich, helped the Rossoneri win the Serie A crown in his first season at the club.
