Bayern Munich is keen on signing a striker this summer, and Borussia Dortmund target-man Robert Lewandowski is high on its list of potential candidates Sport-Bild report.
According to the German publication, the Bundesliga leaders respect the Polish forward for his versatility and ability to displace previous starter Lucas Barrios from BVB's starting lineup this season. And so fond is Bayern of Lewandowski that it has allegedly held talks with the player's agent.
Furthermore, the report claims that Bayern has definitely decided to sign a defender, midfielder and striker this summer, although a definite list of priorities was not provided.
The same source recently asserted that Bayern are keen on bringing in Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov or Werder Bremen's Claudio Pizarro for the striker role, and Basel starlet Xherdan Shaqiri as the midfielder, and supported Goal.com's exclusive report that the Bavarians are targeting Schalke captain Benedikt Howedes to shore up their defense.
Bayern will likely meet fierce opposition from Dortmund over Lewandowski, who is tied to the defending champions until 2014 and recently earned high praise from coach Jurgen Klopp.
