Inter lining up Werder Bremen's Marko Marin as alternative to Carlos Tevez
The controversial Manchester City striker is wanted by the Nerazzurri but if they miss out on him they may make a move for the Germany international as an alternative

Inter has identified Werder Bremen playmaker Marko Marin as a potential backup option if the club fails to sign Carlos Tevez in January, but the team has yet to open talks with the Germany international.
Claudio Ranieri's men are locked in a battle with cross-town rival AC Milan for the Manchester City striker's signature, with the Argentina international's destination yet to be confirmed. However, the Nerazzurri have reportedly earmarked the Germany international as a potential alternative if their move for the South American falls through.
Marin had an injury-plagued second season at Bremen, but has been linked with a number of big European clubs in the recent past, with Inter allegedly leading the pack. Nevertheless, the attacker has stressed that there haven't been talks yet.
"Yes of course you hear these things. You notice it. It's nice when you hear these kind of things - of course. But there weren't concrete talks with Inter yet. My goal is now to be back at 100 percent and to be fit for the 2nd leg of the season," Marin said to Sky Sport News HD.
Having won 16 caps for his country, the 22-year-old has allegedly been in the Serie A giant's cross-hairs for some time, according to the Italian newspaper, and his tactical abilities are admired by coach Ranieri.
The attacking midfielder's contract with the Bundesliga side expires in the summer of 2013, which could be a decisive factor in convincing his current employer to accept a sizable offer from Inter.
