Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly lining up a sensational 61.5 million euro double swoop for Brazilian duo Kaka and Alexandre Pato.

A source close to the club’s owners, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), has revealed that the Ligue 1 leaders are keen to make at least three high-profile signings in the next 15 days and are ready to offer Real Madrid 23.5 million euros for Kaka, according to AFP.

PSG is also reportedly poised to test AC Milan’s resolve to hold on to Pato with an offer of 38 million euros.

Pato is rumored to have fallen out with Rossoneri boss Massimiliano Allegri but the 44-year-old insisted on Monday that he hopes that the forward remains at San Siro.

However, the Italian champions may well decide to cash in on Pato given they are desperate to land Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez on loan during the January transfer window, a deal which has reached an impasse because of Milan’s refusal to commit to buying the Argentine at the end of the season.

As for Madrid, coach Jose Mourinho has publicly declared that he does not want to see any of his players depart the Santiago Bernabeu in January but the club might find it difficult to resist such a generous bid for a player who has been forced to play second fiddle to Mesut Ozil over the past 18 months.

However, when France Football recently joked during an interview with Kaka that they hoped to see him in Paris soon, the former AC Milan maestro replied: "If you want to see me, it will be much easier to come to Madrid!"
