The former England captain was believed to be on his way to the French capital but the Bosman move is now off, with chief suggesting he will re-sign with LA Galaxy

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi revealed the prospective deal to bring David Beckham to the French capital is off.

When Al Khelaifi was asked if he thought Beckham would be staying in Los Angeles with the Galaxy, he replied, "Yes, I think so. David Beckham is in Los Angeles and will stay there."

"He will not come [to PSG], it's clear," he added.

The former England captain's contract with the LA Galaxy has expired and he had long been expected to sign for the French capital club. But it appears he will remain in Los Angeles, where he has raised his four children since joining MLS in 2007.

"We can say that it's over. Beckham would have come, but his family made the difference," PSG director Leonardo said. "He has four children, it would have been difficult for him to leave for a new adventure."

Beckham, who has also played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, won his first MLS title last season when the Galaxy knocked off the Houston Dynamo.
