Fenerbahce has signed Juventus full-back Reto Ziegler on a year-long loan deal.

The Switzerland international moved to the Turin club from Sampdoria earlier in the summer, but has became surplus to requirements since Antonio Conte replaced Luigi Delneri as coach, before he even had a chance to play a competitive match for the Italian giants.

The Turkish club has stated that it has paid 600,000 euros to the Serie A outfit as a fee for the temporary deal, and will harbor the responsibility of paying the 25-year-old's two million euro salary.

The side from the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium has not indicated whether the option to purchase the player outright at the end of the loan deal has been included.

Fenerbahce is thought to have beaten rivals Trabzonspor to Ziegler's capture.
