The Catalan club will need to stump up €12m if they are to acquire the services of Fenerbahce left-back Andre Santos
The Brazilian left-back has been in superb form this season for the Istanbul outfit and has been an ever-present figure in the third-best defensive unit in Turkey's top division.
Barcelona have been keeping a close eye on Andre Santos and will be sending scouts to Fenerbahce's next league game against Ankaragucu on Sunday, according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
The 28-year-old defender joined the Turkish club in 2009 from Corinthians and has since made 15 international appearances for the Brazilian national side.
Pep Guardiola has struggled in the left-back department this season with first-choice Eric Abidal required to play at centre-half at times and then missing two months of action after having a liver tumour successfully removed.
Brazilians Maxwell and Adriano have both had indifferent campaigns although the latter has improved in 2011.
It is unknown whether Barcelona will be willing to part with the €12m reportedly required for Andre Santos, especially as the player is approaching 30.
