German Cup: Carl-Zeiss Jena - Schalke 04, Marco Riemer - Jefferson Farfan (firo)
Versatile attacker Jefferson Farfan has attracted the interest of ambitious Bundesliga side Wolfsburg with his strong performances for Schalke in the 2009-10 campaign, according to a report in Bild.

The Wolfe are in the market for a new attacker because of the expected departure of Brazilian striker Grafite and head coach Steve McClaren supposedly sees Farfan as the perfect partner for Edin Dzeko up front.

Farfan joined Schalke from Dutch side PSV in the summer of 2008 and the attacker has developed into an important first team player ever since. However, the 25-year-old could find playing time hard to come by this season following the arrival of Raul. Therefore, Farfan is supposedly ready to move on this summer.

The forward has an ongoing contract with the Konigsblauen, but an offer in the region of €10 million could be enough to lure Farfan away from Schalke.
