Report: Arsenal And Tottenham Hotspur Trailing Newcastle United Keeper

EPL: Harry Redknapp - Arsene Wenger, Tottenham - Arsenal (PA)
London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are due to lock heads in their pursuit of Norwich City's on-loan goalkeeper Fraser Forster, according to The Eastern Daily Press.

The 21-year old has been on-loan from Newcastle United since the beginning of the season, but it is unclear whether the North East club can recall the highly-rated youngster and push through a January sale.

Newcastle are unlikely to fend off big money interest for the keeper, and, with Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger reported to be monitoring the player's progress, it is likely that the youngster could make a move to the top tier after keeping a dozen clean sheets for League One side Norwich this season.

Both clubs are keen to bolster their goalkeeping options, with doubts about the quality of the capital sides' stoppers arising on a regular basis.
