thumbnail Hello,

Frenchman reckons starlet is a Top Gun-ner in the making.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that youngster Tom Cruise is all set for a positive debut when the north London club take on Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old namesake of the Hollywood hotshot is yet to make a first-team appearance, but it is expected he will be thrust into the heart of a battle that sees the Greek club needing a point to pass the group stage.

Following the inevitable comparisons to the American actor, Wenger said on ESPNStar: "I do not care about headlines - for me, there is only one Tom Cruise, and it is the one who plays for Arsenal Football Club.

"I believe he is a very good footballer, but I would not like him to be under too much pressure.

"If you are in his boots, you would not think for a second that you will play in the Champions League.

"So it is good for him and the others to get an opportunity in these games."
