Leicester City’s Deal With Edgar Davids Hangs In The Balance
Dutch veteran keeps Foxes waiting.
Leicester City chairman Milan Mandaric admits his ambitious attempt to bring Dutch legend Edgar Davids to the Walkers Stadium is hanging in the balance.
The 36-year-old midfielder is a free agent following his departure from Ajax in June 2008 and Mandaric is keen for the midfielder to continue his career with the Foxes.
However, the player's representatives have so far failed to respond to City's offer, and Mandaric has set an ultimatum of the end of the week if the deal is to go through.
He told the Leicester Mercury: "It is still touch-and-go and it is in his hands.
"I am a bit concerned the offer has been sitting there for four or five days and that Davids is not being prompt in making a decision.
"But we won't let this drag on past the next couple of days."
