Transfer Rumours And Round-Up: June 27-28

Goal.com takes a look at another 24 hours in the transfer market.

To go with the confirmation of Glen Johnson's move to Liverpool yesterday was a certain other big-money transfer: Manchester United will receive £80 million from Real Madrid for one Cristiano Ronaldo.

So, the money's starting to flow, but with the exception of GleJo's move from Portsmouth up the road to Liverpool, it seems to be coming into England, rather than away from it.

Certainly Adriano Galliani is hinting that this may continue, as Emmanuel Adebayor is now subject to an approach to Arsenal from AC Milan.

Still, Aston Villa moneyman Randy Lerner claims that manager Martin O'Neill will have money to spend this summer, while Gael Givet's move to Blackburn Rovers in a permanent deal has given coach Sam Allardyce much to be thankful for.

Could Chelsea be the ones to splash out next in the Prem? Andrea Pirlo's still being linked with a move from Milan to the English capital, but this one's set to drag on.

Elsewhere, Fabricio Coloccini's future at Newcastle is uncertain, while Tuncay Sanli and Jo, of Middlesbrough and Everton, respectively, are being tracked by Roy Hodgson's Fulham.

Spurs, meanwhile, are said to want £18m for Darren Bent, while they will not be offloading Adel Taarabt to Malaga, the Spanish club having turned their attention towards Ajax's Leonardo and NAC Breda's Mtiliga instead.

Elsewhere in Iberia, Real Madrid are starting to clear house: Javier Saviola has joined Benfica for a fee of five million euros. Barcelona, meanwhile, have made an offer for Keirrison of Palmeiras.

Finally, Italy sees Thiago Motta and Diego Milito sign contracts at Inter in a transfer deal that wasn't quite as simple as it first seemed, while club president Massimo Moratti states that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has declared himself off the market. Is that the end of that one?
