The 26-year-old departed the Ligue 1 giant last summer to join Spurs and is looking forward to facing his old teammates when the two sides meet in the UEFA Europa League.Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris insists that he will be focused entirely on winning when he faces his former club Lyon in the first knockout round of the UEFA Europa League.
The Frenchman spent four years with the Ligue 1 outfit before departing for North London last summer but is set for a reunion with his old teammates in Thursday's Round of 32 first-leg clash at White Hart Lane.
Lloris says that despite still having a number of close friends on the French side, he stressed that he will give his all to try to help his current club progress.
"I received a lot of calls and messages! I have a lot of friends there still," Lloris told Spurs' official website. "It's not easy for me because I have a good relationship with all my ex-teammates, but that is football, that is the life. On the pitch there are no friends. We play for our team and give all the best for our team.
"The objective is to be in the next round. We have ambition in this competition – we want to win."
