Goal.com editors voted the midfielder as the man of the match against Denmark.
The editors have chosen Japan star Keisuke Honda as the best player in this evening's match between Samurai Blue and Denmark. Honda was a key figure because of his dangerous runs and interplay with team-mates along the right wing.
Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen stood no chance when Honda stepped up to take a free kick on 17 minutes. The CSKA Moscow player put all his might into the left-footed shot, and hit the back of the net, with an outstretched Sorensen unable to even get a fingertip to the ball.
Honda also picked up an assist, cutting the ball back for Shinji Okazaki, who was able to finish off the move with a tap-in.
