Spurs striker is upset that he made the team and his kid brother did not.
The 21-year-old is very upset over his brother’s absence from the team and his father Zizinho, who was a professional football player himself, has revealed that his son could choose to reject his call-up and stay in Mexico during the World Cup.
“Gio is very hurt and he wants to be at home with us,” Zizinho said, according to the Daily Star.
“He is there now and he’s not well.
“We don’t know if he will play (at the World Cup) or not.
“We still don’t know anything.”
Zizinho also made it known that Jonathan, a 20-year-old Barcelona midfielder, will retire from international football because of Aguirre’s decision to leave him out.
“Jonathan told me he is going to quit the Mexican team and I don’t want him playing for them anymore anyway.”
