Goal is counting down the greatest moments in World Cup history, starting with the 1974 finals in West Germany, and wants you to vote for your favorite from the tournament.
World Cup 2014 marks 40 years since Total Football, Gerd Muller and the era-defining finals of Germany 1974.
To celebrate, Goal will be counting down the greatest moments from each tournament since and asking for your views.
The greatest moments in modern World Cup history are the focal point of a spectacular new series starting today on Goal.
Readers are invited to view the highlights and then vote for their favourite memories from the last 10 World Cups.
The votes will be held each weekday on the site over the next fortnight with the poll winners becoming the focus for in-depth articles and debates published in March.
Starting 40 years ago this June with the 1974 World Cup in West Germany, our experts have nominated five of the most memorable games, goals and highlights from the tournament.
To help you choose a favourite, take a look at One Stadium - the football destination for official FIFA World Cup partner Sony - which hosts archive footage from every modern finals.
