Goalkeeper Tally Hall is out for the season after suffering a ruptured ACL in a 3-1 win at Sporting Kansas City on Friday. Hall, who was replaced by backup Tyler Deric in the 80th minute, is scheduled to undergo surgery Friday in Houston.
The 29-year-old has missed just two MLS matches since taking over as the Dynamo's starter at the beginning of the 2011 campaign. A two-time All-Star and member of the U.S. national team pool, Hall took to Twitter to greet the setback with good humor.
Pain is weakness leaving the body! Or, it's your ACL snapping in half! #ACLjokes— Tally Hall (@tallyhallGK) September 2, 2014
At 8-13-4, the eighth-place Dynamo are five points out of the final Eastern Conference playoff slot with nine matches remaining.
