Williams scored in the 10th minute of Reading's 3-1 win against Queens Park Rangers in the Championship, giving him two goals in three matches this month.
The 24-year-old found net when he fed the ball to Adam Le Fondre on the flank, then made a run into the box and nodded home the cross. Williams has enjoyed a steady campaign in England's second tier, making 23 appearances (18 starts) for Reading.
Williams last appeared for the USA in a 2-1 loss at Honduras to kick off the hexagonal stage of World Cup qualifying last February.
