LA Galaxy 1-0 Metapan: Courtois goal the difference to keep LA perfect

One of the Galaxy's youngest set up one of its oldest to maintain a 100 percent record in continental play.
An early goal from veteran midfielder Laurent Courtois was the difference as the LA Galaxy defeated Isidro Metapan 1-0 in a CONCACAF Champions League Group 8 matchup.

Courtois' seventh-minute goal was created by Jose Villarreal. The 20-year-old worked his way into the Metapan box from the left, made a move to wrong-foot a defender, and picked out Courtois with a cutback pass. Courtois took his goal well to beat Metapan goalkeeper Henry Hernandez, who had a good night to keep the score at just one.

The win keeps LA perfect in the CCL group stage with a 2-0-0 record and not a single goal allowed, good enough to put the American side in first place in Group 8.

The Galaxy's next CCL matchup is away to Costa Rican side Cartagines on September 25. Los Angeles previously defeated Cartagines 2-0 at the StubHub Center on August 20, with Robbie Keane socring twice.
