Jurgen Klinsmann has brought in 20 players for the United States team's midweek friendly against Russia in Krasnodar.
The team is made up almost entirely of European-based players with only three members of the squad coming from MLS teams. Juan Agudelo is the most notable domestic inclusion - and a bit of shock as he is coming off a down season for Chivas USA - with the only other MLS players on the roster being goalkeepers Nick Rimando and Sean Johnson.
Tim Howard, Micheal Bradley, Jermaine Jones, Carlos Boanegra and Herculez Gomez will all make the trip, giving the USA a strong veteran core even with the notable absences of Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan.
Jozy Altidore and Timmy Chandler, who have both been out of action with the USA recently, are back in the squad as well. Altidore was left off the USA's roster for the final two matches of the semifinal round of World Cup qualifying, but the big forward is having a stellar season at the club level with 12 goals in all competitions.
Making their first journey to a senior camp will be youngsters Joshua Gatt and Joe Gyau. Gatt's club, Molde, clinched the 2012 Norwegian Tippeligaen tittle this weekend after also winning the league crown in 2011.
