thumbnail Hello,

The American forward scored his Dutch league-high eighth goal for AZ over the weekend and leads a list of big-name players.

No one has scored more goals in their European domestic league so far this season than American forward Jozy Altidore.

The U.S. international increased his Dutch league-leading goal total to eight, scoring in the 24th minute for AZ Alkmaar in a 3-3 tie against Waalwijk on Sunday.

Altidore has a total of nine goals in nine games throughout all competitions for AZ, including one in the Dutch Cup.

Tied with Altidore on the UEFA scoring list is Yura Movsisyan, the Armenia international who currently stars on Russian side Krasnodar. He has eight goals in nine games, which is two matches more than Altidore has played in the league to this point.

Movsisyan, a former MLS player, spent some of his childhood living in California and recently told Goal.com that he had a chance to play for the U.S. national team before losing patience awaiting citizenship.
