thumbnail Hello,

The speedy 21-year-old Molde winger was called up by Jurgen Klinsmann, but a hamstring injury ended his first chance at a senior cap.

Molde FK winger Joshua Gatt has been forced to withdraw from his first-ever United States national team squad on the same day the team was even named after the 21-year-old suffered a hamstring injury playing for his club.

The Plymouth, MI native has been a stalwart for the Norwegian side this season, tied for second on the team's top scorers list with five as Molde seeks to defend its Tippeligaen title, he but pulled up lame in the second half of a 4-1 loss to SK Brann on Sunday.

"Josh Gatt is not able to come in based on what happened today in that game," said U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann in a conference call. "We had hoped to add a new element to our team with him. We have to wait until next time I guess."

Klinnsman decided against calling in a replacement, saying, "We're not bringing another player for Josh Gatt. We'll leave it that way."
