Final six members of MLS All-Star team decided by player vote

A number of much talked about snubs were paid their dues as player voting decided the final six members of the 2011 MLS All-Star team
Six more players were added to the MLS All-Star team on Monday after the results of player balloting were announced. Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso led the way, having been overlooked both in fan voting and in All-Star coach Hans Backe's game day roster.

The other five players included were Dwayne De Rosario (attacking midfielder, D.C. United), Eric Hassli (forward, Vancouver Whitecaps FC), Juninho (midfielder, Los Angeles Galaxy), Joel Lindpere (midfielder, New York Red Bulls) and Nick Rimando (goalkeeper, Real Salt Lake).

The six players decided by player voting will be considered inactive All-Stars, meaning they will not be able to participate in Wednesday's clash with Manchester United, but will receive the benefits and bonuses that being named to the All-Star team entails.
