Beasley Scores, Sends Rangers Top Of SPL

The American winger put Rangers back on top of the Scottish table.

American midfielder DaMarcus Beasley scored his first goal for Rangers since 2008 in a 3-0 win over Dundee United on Tuesday. The winger's 26th minute strike opened the scoring and Kenny Miller's brace finished off the match which sent Rangers back to the top of the SPL table.

Beasley, who has been out of favor for both club and country of late and was in much need of some positive time on the pitch, netted his goal after some nice build up play opened up space for him to cut in on his left. The dipping shot left Dundee 'keeper Nicky Weaver no chance of making a save.

Transfer rumors surrounding Beasley have been rampant with the winger searching for regular time on the pitch in an effort to regain his spot with the U.S. National team before next summer's World Cup.
