Former Red Bull Parke Trialing With Anderlecht
Jeff Parke's career in the MLS may be coming to an end as he is currently on trial with the Belgian club Anderlecht.
Former Red Bulls player Jeff Parke is undecided where his future will lie following a 2008 season that ended with him being suspended for violating the league’s substance policy.
He was selected by the Seattle Sounders in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft back in November, but didn’t sign a contract with the club and his future in the league is yet to be decided.
Parke has spent his whole career with the Red Bulls franchise before being selected in the draft, having played in 132 matches for the club since 2004. He was drafted 60th and last overall in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft.
The 26-year-old has apparently been on trial with the Belgian side Anderlecht recently and played in a reserve match last week. The club are as yet undecided whether they will sign the Abington, PA, native.
Anderlecht are also interested in U.S. U-20 attacking midfielder Dilly Duka, according to a source close to the club.
