Generation adidas Team to Travel England

16 Generation adidas players from MLS will travel to London, England in December. They will play 3 matches, watch 2 games, and train with Chelsea.

Sixteen MLS players who are part of Generation adidas will make an 8 day trip to London. The activities planned include 3 games against English Premier League reserve teams, training at Chelsea academy, and tickets to both an EPL game and a Champions’ League match.

The team will be headed by San Jose Earthquakes duo Frank Yallop and Ian Russell. The head and assistant coach lead San Jose on an unlikely run towards the playoffs despite their expansion team status, and finished tied for points with Los Angeles Galaxy.

Under their tutelage are 16 young MLS players. They include Josh Lambo, Eric Avila, Bruno Guarda, and Anthony Wallace from FC Dallas; Tony Beltran, Chris Seitz, Alex Nimo, and Yura Movsisyan of Real Salt Lake; Amaechi Igwe and Rob Valentino from the New England Revolution; Marvell Wynne and Abdus Ibrahim of Toronto FC; the Kansas City Wizards’ Roger Espinoza; Ciaran O'Brien from the Colorado Rapids; and Chicago Fire’s Bakary Soumare. The 16th member of the squad has not yet been announced.

The trip, which will last from December 6th to Dec. 14th, sees the Generation adidas players face the Aston Villa, West Ham United, and Chelsea reserves. There will also be time built in for sightseeing as well as the two matches the team will watch from the stands.
