Middlesbrough are reportedly in talks with Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley.

US international Michael Bradley is understod to be discussing a potential move to Premier League Middlesbrough before the current transfer window closes.

There has been speculation most of the summer that Bradley might complete a move from Dutch club Heerenveen to the Riverside.

Now, say Clubcall, Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate is mounting a late bid  to sign the player.

21-year-old Bradley moved to Holland from US Major League Soccer in 2005, and has made a good impression in the Dutch Eredivisie. He netted 15 goals in 30 league appearances last season, an outstanding return for a midfielder.

Middlesbrough have sold four midfielders this summer, and still have Julio Arca sidelined with injury, so the chance to bring in a quality player in that position is one Southgate will probably jump at if the terms are acceptable.
