Despite the delays and the weather, Tijuana had enough to take three points back to Mexico.

Tijuana overcame adverse conditions to claim a 3-2 win against Deportivo Victoria in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The match was delayed for over two hours as heavy thunderstorms and a power outage threatened to derail the proceedings.

When it did begin, it wasn't long before the visitors were up 1-0. An eleventh-minute header from American youngster Paul Arriola on an Aldo Polo assist put the Xolos in the ascendancy.

Aldo Polo was gain pulling the strings when Tijuana made it two in the 40th minute, this time with Diego Olsina shooting over the keeper from the slide.

Victoria was awarded a penalty shortly after the restart when Ozzie Bodden was hauled down from behind while going for a high ball and Wilmer Crisanto stepped up to convert the spot kick.

But the Mexican side restored its two-goal lead through Cristian Pellerano, who skipped past two defenders and unleashed a powerful strike from outside the penalty area.

Victoria wasn't willing to roll over, howvever. Poor marking allowed Fredixon Elvir to get on the end of a cross from the left and slot home to make it 3-2 in the 85th minute.

Following a draw against Luis Angel Firpo and the win over Victoria, Tijuana is in first place in Group 7.
