CCL Qualifying Round Up: First Leg
The first leg of the final round of CONCACAF Champions League qualifiers is done and dusted.

Honduran giants CD Olimpia were forced into a second half rally to top Panamanian side Arebe Unido by a 2-1 scorline. Olimpia got second half goals from Jocimar Nacimento and Everaldo Ferreira to claim the win and set them on the front foot for qualification into Group A.
San Francisco FC claimed a 2-0 victory over San Juan Jabloteh in Group B qualifying and will get their chance to finish off the two legged tie in Trinidad on August 6. An early penalty strike from Carlos Vilarete set the stage for the Panamanian side’s win with a late striker from Temistocles Perez closing the deal.
Liberia MIA netted three times in cruising to a first leg
win over Real CD Espana. Alejandro Alpizar’s brace capped off the 3-0 win for
the Costa Rican’s with Michael Umana scoring the other goal. Liberia will carry
their comfortable lead to Honduras for the second leg on August 6 with the
aggregate winner joining Group D for the next round.
