The
Bianconeri breezed past their opponents thanks to goals by Alessandro Del
Piero, Mauro Camoranesi, Nicola Legrottaglie and Chiellini.
The defender couldn't hide his happiness after the game and he already has the group stages in his sight, but he is well aware that Juve still have to go the Bratislava for the second leg in two weeks.
“It was an important night. We have been waiting two years for this and you could say we have wrapped up the tie tonight,” Chiellini told RAI after the game.
“We are still not 100 per cent fit, but the team is getting there and we put in a great performance with four goals.
“We have to play them with the same determination we showed tonight that way we will be sure there won’t be any problems.
“Now we need to focus on the second leg in Bratislava so we can begin our Champions League adventure properly.”
The Bianconeri travel to Slovakia in just under a fortnight with the tie all but wrapped up.
Juve have a foot in the group stages and they will be looking to complete the Italian job in style.
