El Salvador head coach Carlos de los Cobos expressed pride his his team after it defeated Costa Rica 2-1 in Group A action of the Gold Cup. A brace from Osael Romero did the damage in the Home Depot Center.

De los Cobos maintained that El Salvador is a team that tries for victory in every game and that the squad prepared well for Costa Rica.
