El Salvador downed Costa Rica 2-1 in the Home Depot Center in Group A action of the Gold Cup Friday. The team's two goals were scored by Osael Romero.

After the match, Romero spoke to the media in a press conference. He lauded the team effort and spoke about the unity of the squad.
