Agent: Sulejmani Likely To Join Ajax

Following on from yesterday's news that Ajax were planning a swoop for Heerenveen ace Miralem Sulejmani, Goal.com has received information that a deal may be closer to fruition than first thought...

Goal.com's André Trompers spoke to the player's agent, Jovica Radonjic, who explained that the 19-year-old would indeed be at Ajax next season.

He said, "The two clubs, Ajax and Heerenveen, have officially started negotiations.

"The sides have been in conversation with each other for two or three days now.

"I think that they will come together."

However, he would not rule out the possibility of the Serbian youth international moving elsewhere.

The agent added that Feyenoord were interested, but did state that "Ajax are the most serious" suitor at the moment.

In his first season as a full pro, Sulejmani has struck 15 times in 34 matches for the Frisian side this season.
